Using a soft wipe to remove any dust or dirt build up always helps! Try to keep them stored in their own location away from other jewelry so they don't end up scratched.

When connecting the pieces to earrings or necklaces, I use an "heirloom" wrap. You may have seen rosary makers use this technique. It basically makes it impossible for two things to become separated unless you physically break the piece apart.
