Warm silver tones meet one of the most tender, astonishing stories in the early Church--the martyrdom of Saints Felix and Regula, the sibling saints of Zürich.
These earrings depict the siblings holding their own heads, a symbol long used in sacred art to express not gore, but courageous love. According to tradition, Felix and Regula were Romans who converted to Christianity and refused to renounce Christ. For this, they were tortured and beheaded… yet the story doesn’t end there. It is said they rose, lifted their own heads, and walked (calmly, peacefully) to the place they wished to be buried, a final act of dignity and devotion that became a sign of hope for the early Christians.
The earrings honor that quiet, radiant bravery.
