Floral Motif Earrings

Based on the luxurious floral motifs found in elaborately decorated Bibles from medieval France, the purple color held profound symbolic and aesthetic significance. These manuscripts were often crafted on vellum that had been dyed a rich purple-an opulent shade historically associated with imperial power and divine authority.

When combined with the gold and silver inks often used on such pages, the deep purple background transformed the text into something transcendent—meant not only to be read, but to be revered.

In particular, this rich visual language elevated the scriptures into a sensory experience: God’s word made physically magnificent.
